That all changed during the New York Yankees run to their record 27th World Series championship in 2009 as Rodriguez batted .455 with two home runs in the three game sweep of the Minnesota Twins and hit three home runs with a .429 batting average in the six-game ALCS victory of the Los Angeles Angels.
