Despite his prodigious home run totals, slugger Alex Rodriguez was getting a reputation for not performing during the playoffs. That all changed during the New York Yankees run to their record 27th World Series championship in 2009 as Rodriguez batted .455 with two home runs in the three game sweep of the Minnesota Twins and hit three home runs with a .429 batting average in the six-game ALCS victory of the Los Angeles Angels. Rodriguez wore this New Era size 7 ¼ all-navy blue New York Yankees cap during the 2009 ALDS & ALCS victories. This cap has the white raised interlocking “NY” on the front and the “INAUGURAL SEASON 2009” logo patch sewn on the back. Rodriguez signed his name in silver marker on the brim and inscribed “2009 Playoffs GU”. The hat shows moderate use with dirt stains present on the inside back band and sweat stains on the front. This hat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (AB13663) for the signature and a full LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema for the game use.
