Hall of Famer Derek Jeter earned his clutch reputation by continually producing in the postseason. During Game 1 of the 2009 World Series, Jeter hit this very ball for a single to center field off Phillies’ pitcher Cliff Lee. This was Jeter’s 191st career postseason hit and his 41st in the World Series alone. This is an Official Ball 2009 World Series Allan H. Selig stamped ball with the “2009” World Series” logo stamped on the adjacent panel. All of the stampings are in gold and this ball displays heavy game use with dirt and abrasion marks. This ball comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (LH733123), authenticating that Jeter hit this ball for a single in the bottom of the sixth inning during Game 1 of the 2009 World Series played on October 28th, 2009. There is also a LOA from Steiner Sports (127065).
