Outstanding game used bat from one of the Cardinals’ most popular players from the season they won the World Series. 2011 was Pujols’ last in St. Louis and he made it an impressive one, batting .299 with 37 homers and leading the team to victory in the Series. This Marucci two-color AP5-M model bat is un-cracked. As could be expected on the bat of a career .325 hitter, many ball marks and stitch impressions can be found on the bat as well as white ball scuffs and ink transfers. There is a moderate coat of pine tar on the upper handle. The knob of the handle has the date (2/21/11), Pujols’ number (5), length (4) and weight (2.0) stamped into it. Pujols has signed his name on the barrel with the notation “Game Used WS Champs” in gold ink matching the bat’s factory labeling, giving the piece a very attractive and complete look.
