Alex Rodriguez’s 2011 season was riddled with injuries and as such ended his unbelievable streak of 13 consecutive seasons of 30 homers and 100 RBI. Despite his setbacks, he still managed to hit .276 with 16 home runs in 99 games. One of his 16 home runs came on April 23rd during the eighth inning at Baltimore when he took Orioles’ pitcher Josh Rupe deep for his 22nd career grand slam, moving him only one grand slam behind Lou Gehrig.

This offered jersey was worn by Rodriguez while hitting his 22nd career grand slam, fifth of 2011 and career home run 618. This gamer is a gray button-down Majestic jersey with “NEW YORK” sewn across the chest in navy and white tackle twill. Rodriguez’s number “13” is sewn on the back of the jersey in the same navy and white fashion. The sleeves are capped with an expandable navy/white/navy striping pattern and an MLB logo patch is sewn on the back outside collar. A Majestic tag is sewn on the front left tail with numerous flags attached that include “2010”, size “48”, “Taper” (faded), and “+1[inch] body”. There is some light staining on the front and AROD has signed the front of this jersey below the “YORK” in black marker and inscribed “game used 4-23-2011 Grand Slam”. This jersey comes with a signed LOA from Alex Rodriguez who attests that this jersey was worn by him on April 23, 2011 when he hit his 22nd career grand slam.
