One of baseball’s biggest redemption stories, Josh Hamilton overcame career-ending addictions to become a 5-time All-Star, AL MVP (2010), AL RBI champion (2008), AL batting champion (2010) and ALCS MVP (2010). He is one of baseball’s most popular players and biggest threat at the plate. This Marucci Custom Buck bat has been photo-matched by PSA/DNA to having been used by Hamilton in the September 20, 2011 game against the A’s. Hamilton was 2 for 5 that night including a double. This cupped end natural 34.5”, 33.3oz Hamilton Custom Cut-M bat shows heavy use and the handle is cracked. Visible on the barrel are many ball marks and stitch impressions. White ball scuffs, blue ink transfers and cleat imprints are present. A moderate coat of Mota stick is on the handle. Hamilton’s number “32” has been stamped into the knob (in white) along with the date of manufacture (7/10/11), length (5) and weight (2.5). An MLB numbered hologram sticker has been affixed to the barrel. Letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA who had given this bat a grade of GU 9.5.
