Four-time AL All-Star and 11- year veteran catcher Victor Martinez wore this MLB Authentic game used, size 48 button-down road jersey (FJ483019) in his first regular season game with Detroit Tigers at Yankee Stadium on Opening Day 2011. Martinez would go on to have a spectacular year hitting .330 with 103 RBI for the American League champion Tigers. Martinez name is stitched in navy blue and orange tackle twill with white trim under an MLB logo patch across the back of the gray mesh jersey above his number 41 with the Detroit cursive logo and number on the front. A “Sparky 11” home plate shaped black patch is sewn onto the right sleeve in honor of former Tigers manager Sparky Anderson whose number was retired by the team after he died during the off-season. Jersey shows moderate wear with ventilated side panels. Initials “JSG-OD” are written in black Sharpie on MLB Authentic/Majestic label on left front shirt tail and white tag containing “41 48 ’11 112” affixed below and Majestic Cool Base label attached to the seam.
