Los Angeles Angels first baseman and designated hitter Albert Pujols joined the Angels in 2012 after spending 11 seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals where the famed slugger was named National League MVP three times, won two World Series titles, and appeared in nine All-Star Games. Pujols, a two-time NL home run leader and one-time NL RBI leader, took his talents to the Angels where the slugger batted .285 with 173 hits, 30 home runs, and 105 RBI during the 2012 season.

Presented here are a pair of 12 ½ size Nike cleats worn by the 10-time All-Star and two-time World Series champion Albert Pujols during the 2012 season. The Nike black, white, and maroon colorway cleats feature the iconic Nike “Swoosh” logo appears on the instep and outstep of each cleat in white with red trim. “Nike” appears just above the toe box on each cleat in silver, and the tongue is adorned with a maroon tag labeled “DIAJSE” the initials of his wife and children, in white. The white mudguard features an air vent. The number “5” in white and a batter in red are embroidered on the heel of each cleat. “NIKE” appears on the back mudguard of the right cleat and the Nike “SWOOSH” appears on the back mudguard of the left cleat. Pujols, a devout Christian, had “WWJD” in white embroidery on the outstep of each cleat. “PUJOLS” appears on the red heel strip of each cleat in white. There are 19 plastic cleats connected to a hard white plastic sole that features the Nike “Swoosh” in the middle of the sole in black. Pujols signed and inscribed “GAME USED ‘12” with a silver metallic paint pen on the toe box of the left cleat. The cleats display excellent signs of game use and feature dirt stains on the toe boxes, and dirt and stains on the soles of each cleat. The game used and signed cleats worn by Pujols during the 2012 season come with an MLB Authenticated hologram (EK192517) and a LOA from Albert Pujols.
