The Yankees’ captain wore this jersey in the April 6, 2012 game against the Rays, going 1 for 4. Evidence of game use can be seen in the Tropicana Field dirt on the right sleeve and to the right of the “NEW YORK” across the chest. Jeter’s number “2” rides on the back in Yankee navy blue and white tackle twill. The Majestic label is stitched in the lower right front tail showing size “48” and 2012 date tagging. New York Yankees bar code sticker affixed with the serial number 0000001888 below the Majestic tagging. An official MLB and a numbered Steiner game used hologram have been added to the Majestic label. A numbered Yankees-Steiner Collectibles letter of authenticity accompanies the jersey of this future Hall of Famer. With Jeter announcing that 2014 will be his final season, we have seen a dramatic jump in interest in game used jerseys of the future first ballot Hall of Famer.
