Robinson Cano spent the first nine seasons of his career with the New York Yankees. Cano’s second-to-last season was in 2012 when the slugging second baseman belted 33 home runs, drove in 94 runs and batted a solid .313 as he earned his fourth All-Star selection. Cano used this offered SSK bat when he went 0-4 with a walk in five plate appearances during the Yankees 5-2 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre on August 11th of the 2012 season.
This 34-inch white and black, Maple SSK Professional Edge Robinson Cano model bat is slathered in Mota Stick from the knob end of the handle to the end of the label. There is a crack in the upper handle while the lower handle is wrapped in white adhesive tape which is also heavily coated with Mota Stick and pine tar. A mark on the handle identifying the face grain of the bat is mandatory per Major League Baseball’s rules for all Maple bats since January 2009. Bat shows heavy game use with a pounding of ball marks, a chipped finish and cleat marks all over the cupped-end barrel. Cano’s “RC24” initials are branded into the knob, along with the manufacture date “032312”. This bat comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (EK041323) authenticating this bat’s use on August 11, 2012, a Steiner Sports hologram (209436) and has been photo matched by Resolution Photomatching.
