This Official 2014 Postseason Allan H. Selig baseball was used during Game 5 of the 2012 NLCS between the San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium on October 19th, 2012. Giants closer Sergio Romo pitched this ball to Cardinals second baseman Daniel Descalo, who fouled it off, during the final at bat of the game. Later in the at bat, Romo got Descalso to fly out to left, ending the game. The Giants won this contest 5-0 behind 7.2 shutout innings from Barry Zito, and would go on to win both the NLCS and the World Series. This item comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (EK 249872).
