New York Yankees starting pitcher Andy Pettitte wore this gray road jersey during a 3-1 victory at Safeco Field against the Seattle Mariners on June 8th, 2013. Pettitte threw 7.1 strong innings against the M’s, striking out six and allowing only one run to earn his fifth win of the season. David Robertson and Mariano Rivera finished out the game, with Rivera earning his 22nd save of the season. Jayson Nix paced the Yankee offense, knocking in two of the three runs with RBI singles.
2013 was the final season in Pettitte’s illustrious, 18 season career, making this gray, button down road jersey one of the final in Pettitte’s MLB tenure. This jersey features “NEW YORK” sewn across the chest in navy blue and white tackle twill. Pettitte’s number “46” is sewn on the back in navy blue and white tackle twill beneath a gray and blue MLB logo. A navy blue and white band rings each sleeve opening. A Majestic tag is sewn on the front left tail of the jersey. Size “50” and “2013” flags are attached to the tag. Pettitte signed the “6” digit in silver marker, adding the inscription “GU 2013”. This item comes with a Steiner LOA and a MLB Authenticated hologram (EK 677589), which authenticates it to the June 8th ballgame. Additionally, a COA from Steiner Sports authenticates Pettitte’s signature.
