Curtis Granderson was brought in by the New York Yankees in 2010 to help bolster the team’s outfield and provide another weapon at the plate. It wouldn’t take long for Granderson’s impact to be felt, as he led the American League in runs (136) and RBI (119) in 2011. This Granderson New York Yankees game used collection was worn by the three-time All-Star in a home game against Tampa Bay on Sept. 26, 2013. Granderson was his usual productive self, going 1-for-2 with a double, walk and stolen base in the contest. One look at the white-and-blue pinstriped pants lends evidence to Granderson’s stolen base attempt as the front is covered in dirt from top to bottom. A large grass stain is visible on the left hip of the pants, which have a “Majestic Authentic Collection” manufacturer’s tag on the inside elastic waist band that reads “#14 Granderson” and “36-42 20 C ’13.” It’s safe to assume Granderson’s stolen base came on a head-first slide after seeing his jersey. A deep dirt trail runs right down the front of the button-down jersey, which features a vibrant, stitched Mariano Rivera farewell patch on the left sleeve with the years “1995 2013.” The “NY” logo appears on the front left chest of the jersey with Granderson’s number “14” on the back, both in navy blue tackle twill. The front tail of the jersey also features a “Majestic Authentic Collection” manufacturer’s tag with affixed white tags that read “2013” and “46,” indicating the jersey’s year and size. Granderson’s navy blue size 7 1/8 Yankees hat also features the Rivera farewell patch on the left side with “New Era” and “MLB Authentic Collection” tags on the inside. Granderson’s number “14” is written in black marker on the inside front of the cap. All three items are certified by MLB Authentics with verification numbers “EK809661” (hat), “EK809356” (jersey) and “EK809265” (pants). The items come with LOA’s from Steiner Sports Memorabilia, while all three items have Steiner holographic stickers. This was Mariano Rivera's final career game.
