Impressive rookie Giovanni Bernard is destined to take over full-time running back duties in the Cincinnati Bengals backfield sooner rather than later. Bernard has captivated the Bengals faithful, and is a strong candidate for NFL Rookie of the Year honors.
The University of North Carolina product showed strong evidence of that day he wore this white Cincinnati Bengals road jersey in a 20-17 overtime loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Nov. 10, 2013. Bernard carried 14 times for 58 yards and caught eight passes for 37 yards and a touchdown – an 18-yard scoring reception in the fourth quarter – in the game. The heavily stained jersey features “BERNARD” across the back in white-on-black tackle twill on an orange name plate. Bernard’s number “25” appears on the front and back in black-on-orange tackle twill, while the shoulders boast “25” in white-on-black tackle twill with the black tiger stripes design and stitched white Nike swoosh logos. The chest of the jersey features a stitched “B” Bengals logo in the center above Bernard’s number “25.” The inside collar of the jersey features a “Nike” manufacturer’s tag with size “40” and an affixed black tag that reads “2013” for the jersey’s year. The jersey features heavy signs of game use, including large areas of brown scuffing on the chest. The jersey comes with an official tag that reads “Found Only At BENGALS PRO SHOP” with “Baltimore 11/10/13” written in blue ink on the tag.
