Mariano Rivera paused midway through his final year in the majors to take part in his 13th All-Star Game. Only one pitcher in Major League history appeared in more All-Star Games (Warren Spahn) and it was only natural that The Sandman was called on to work the game - giving up his usual no hits, no runs and walking off the field as the best reliever to have appeared in the Mid-Summer Classic. This custom All-Star Game chair was used by Rivera during the All-Star Game Weekend. Rivera’s signature appears prominently in bold, silver Sharpie across the blue metal on the back of the chair’s seat back. The “Clarin” chair by Hursey Seating reads “MLB ALL-STAR GAME 2013” on the front of the foam seat back, with “ALL-STAR GAME 2013” on the foam seat of the chair, which is all Mets blue. The legs of the chair feature four rubber tips, while a Clarin manufacturer’s sticker is affixed to the seat back. The signed All-Star Game clubhouse chair comes with a COA from Steiner Sports.
