The heavy-swinging Mark Reynolds, who has hit 20-or-more home runs every year since 2008, joined the New York Yankees in August of the 2013 season to give the team a right-handed power option in the lineup. Reynolds wore this game used home jersey and hat in a game against the San Francisco Giants on September 22, 2013. The white-and-blue pinstriped button-down jersey features the “NY” logo on the front left chest of the jersey with Reynolds’ number “39” on the back, both in navy blue tackle twill. The left sleeve of the jersey features a vibrant, stitched Mariano Rivera farewell patch on the left sleeve with the years “1995 2013.” The front tail of the jersey features a “Majestic Authentic Collection” manufacturer’s tag with two affixed white tags that read “2012” and “48” for the jersey’s year and size. A New York Yankees butterfly patch below the manufacturer’s tag boasts a scan bar and number “0000001719.” The jersey exhibits evidence of light game use, including minor staining on the chest that could be from tobacco. Reynolds’ navy blue size 7 3/8 Yankees hat also features the Rivera farewell patch on the left side with “New Era” and “MLB Authentic Collection” tags on the inside. Reynolds’ number “39” is written in black marker on the inside front of the cap. Both items are certified by MLB Authentication with numbers “EK810263” (jersey) and “EK810356” (hat). The jersey and hat come with LOA’s and holographic stickers from Steiner Sports Memorabilia.
