Back to back AL MVP (2012-2013) Miguel Cabrera wore this MLB Authentic throwback Detroit Stars replica Negro League uniform at home against the Atlanta Braves on April 27, 2013 going 2-5 with two RBI in a 7-4 Tigers victory. Founded in 1919, the Detroit Stars were a member of the Negro National League from 1920-1931 and counted such legends as Ted “Double Duty” Radcliffe, Norman “Turkey” Stearns and Bruce Petway among its ranks. This three piece set includes size 7 ½ off-white MLB Authentic California Custom Cap (#EK352946) with affixed red star patch and blue brim, as well as size-38 pants MLB Authentic (#352969) with navy blue pocket flaps and piping and AIS manufacturers tag stitched into the waistband where Cabrera’s number 24 is also written in bold black Sharpie, and MLB Authentic size-50 AIS button-down jersey (#EK352924) with navy blue piping and red tackle twill star patch with navy trim on the front left breast and AIS label sewn inside rear tail. Uniform shows heavy wear with dirt stains on the front of jersey and pants. This is a unique commemorative set.
