This is the full uniform Jeter wore the night he tied the 20th century's greatest shortstop. The Cleveland Indians were at Yankee Stadium the night of August 9th, 2014 and all eyes were on what Derek Jeter every time he stepped up to the plate. In the bottom of the 6th Jeter, who was hitless in two previous at bats, hit a sharp grounder to third off Corey Kluber. The base hit was the 3,430th of Jeter's career and it tied him for 7th place on the all-time career hits list. Jeter occupied that coveted spot with Honus Wagner, the man who basically invented the shortstop position both men played. The classic white home pinstriped jersey has the famed intertwined "NY" in navy blue tackle twill on the left breast. Majestic label in the left front tail has added size "46" and year "2014" tagging and a Yankees strip tag is affixed below (00000004617). The back has Jeter's famous "2" in navy tackle twill upon which he has signed his name in silver pen, adding "Tied Wagner 8-9-14 Hit 3430". The matching home white pinstriped pants have the Majestic label in the waist band with "2 JETER 35-40-36 OB '14". Overall the uniform set is in great condition with only minimal turf marks and scuffs. A special set worn by a sure-bet Hall of Famer during an incredible Yankees and baseball history milestone. MLB hologram (HZ306282) authenticates the game use on the jersey and MLB hologram (HZ306287) for the pants. There is also 2 Steiner game use holograms as well as a Steiner COA for the autograph.
