2014 was a season of milestones for the Red Sox second baseman. In May, he reached the 100-career home run mark and then hit his 300th double. Pedroia finished off the season by winning his fourth-straight Golden Glove Award – the first infielder in Boston Red Sox history to do so. Pedroia used this Marucii MF14-LDM model bat for the last time when he cracked the handle fouling off a Phil Hughes pitch against the Minnesota Twins in Minnesota on May 15, 2014.

In addition to the crack on the handle, this bat displays outstanding game use. There are ball marks, white leather scuffs and cleat imprints present on the barrel. There is a heavy coating of pine tar on the upper handle/lower barrel and a coating of Mota Stick on the lower handle. Pedroai’s number “15’ is stamped on the knob in while the bat’s manufacture date “04/28/14” is also stamped. This bat comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (EK930469) which authenticates that this bat was broken during the top of the first inning on a foul ball in the May 15th, 2014 game.
