2014 was a big year for Giancarlo Stanton. The power-hitting right fielder led the National League in home runs with 37, slugging percentage (.555) and total bases (299), while finishing second in the MVP vote. Stanton used this Marucci G27-M model bat during the 2014 season.

This all-black bat with a flat finish was used by Stanton during the July 24th game at Atlanta when it was broken during the eighth inning on a groundout. This bat displays excellent use and has a large crack running up the handle. There are several ball marks and stitch impressions on the barrel, along with blue ink transfers, white leather scuffs and cleat impressions. On the lower handle is a light coating of pine tar. There is a mark on the handle that identifies the grain, which has been mandatory per Major League Baseball for all maple bats since 2009. Stamped on the knob are the date of manufacture “04/17/14” , Stanton’s number “27” , the length “4” and weight “1.5”. This bat comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (EK714756), which authenticates this bat’s use by Stanton on July 24th and that it was broken during the eighth inning on a ground out.
