Former Detroit Tigers infielder Ian Kinsler wore this navy Detroit Tigers helmet for home games during the 2014 season, including the September 28th game in which he hit his 17th and final home run of the season and 173rd of his career. The navy headpiece carries an Old English Tigers, “D,” appliqué on the front in white. Other distinguishing features of the padded helmet include Kinsler’s “3” number on the back, above an MLB logo decal. The helmet does not have a size indicator and has a “Rawlings” tag on an interior cushion. A “JSG RS” inscription inside the helmet’s top was placed in silver marker, by Tigers clubhouse manager Jim Schmakel, to verify that the piece was worn by Kinsler in the regular season. This helmet displays moderate game use and has been signed by Kinsler in silver marker on the brim with the inscription “Game Used 2014”. This helmet comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (HZ569835) for the game use on September 28th and that Kinsler signed and inscribed this helmet on July 4th of 2015.
