Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve smacked the 20th home run of his career in style, hitting his first grand slam during the Houston Astros 8-1 victory at Fenway Park in Boston. Altuve hit the first grand slam of his career off of Boston Red Sox pitcher Joe Kelly during the top of the second inning that saw the Astros rock the Red Sox for six runs, putting the game away before Boston even knew what hit them. Altuve would ultimately go on to win the American League batting title, becoming the first Astro in franchise history to win the title.
Presented here is Houston Astros alternate jersey worn by Astros second baseman Jose Altuve when he recorded the 20th home run of his career and his first grand slam against the Boston Red Sox on August 14, 2014. A Majestic “COOL BASE” flag is affixed to the left lateral side of the jersey’s left front tail. An MLB logo embroidered in orange, white, and navy under the rear collar of the jersey. “ALTUVE” appears across the back of the jersey in navy-on-white tackle twill.
