San Francisco Giants ace Madison Bumgarner wore these black and white New Balance cleats during the 2014 MLB season. Bumgarner was an 18-game winner in 2014, maintaining a 2.98 ERA while striking out 9.1 batters per nine innings. The Hickory, North Carolina native made his second career All-Star Game and led the Giants through a tumultuous postseason culminating in one of the greatest World Series performances in recent memory. Bumgarner, the 2014 NLCS MVP, made two starts against the Kansas City Royals in the World Series, winning Game 1 and throwing a complete game shutout during the Giants 5-0 victory in Game 5. Three days later, Bumgarner closed out Game 7 with five scoreless innings to hand the Giants their third World Series victory of the decade. Bumgarner was named the World Series MVP after pitching 21 innings and surrendering only one run, earned or otherwise.

These cleats are black, with a white and black New Balance logo applied to each side of the shoes. A “NB” logo is applied to the heel of each shoe and both tongues. These cleats are size 13 and feature eight metal spikes on the soles. Bumgarner has signed the toe of each cleat in silver marker, inscribing “14 Game Used WS MVP” in addition to each signature.
