New York Yankees slugger Mark Teixeira wore this jersey in 2014, during a game on August 10th against the Cleveland Indians. The Indians won this game 4-1, thanks to a sterling Carlos Carrasco start. Teixeira started to get a rally going in the seventh after a line drive single, but a Carlos Beltran GDP ended the Yankees run scoring hopes. Teixeira finished the 2014 season with 22 home runs and 62 RBI in his triumphant return from a serious wrist injury.
This white, pinstriped button down home jersey has the Yankees interlocking “NY” logo sewn on the left chest in navy blue tackle twill. Teixeira’s number “25” is sewn on the back in navy blue tackle twill beneath a MLB logo patch. A Majestic patch is sewn on the front left tail of the jersey, with “2014”, size “48”, and “Taper” flags attached. A Yankees barcode is applied beneath this tag. This jersey shows excellent signs of wear, including dirt stains on the left sleeve and stains around the collar. Tex signed the “5” digit on the back of the jersey in silver marker, adding the inscription “Game Used ‘14” to his signature. This item comes with a COA from PSA/DNA (AB16504) for the signature, a LOA from Steiner Sports, and a MLB Authenticated hologram (HZ 306395), which dates use of this jersey to the August 10th game.
