On August 15th, 2014, two-time American League MVP Miguel Cabrera hit the 450th and 451st doubles of his Hall of Fame caliber MLB career. Taking the field against the Seattle Mariners and starting pitcher James Paxton, Cabrera finished 2-3 with the two doubles, a walk, and a run scored in the Tigers 7-2 loss. Cabrera’s first hit in this game, the 2,134th of his career, broke him out of a tie with Moises Alou and Maury Wills on the all-time list, while his two doubles pushed him closer to the all-time top 100. At the end of the 2017 MLB season, Cabrera sits just outside the top 30.
Cabrera hit this baseball for the 450th double of his career, in the bottom of the first inning against Paxton. This Official Major League Allan H. Selig baseball shows light wear, and comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (HZ 313007), which authenticates this baseball to the August 15th game and Cabrera’s milestone hit.
