Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving wore this navy blue Cavaliers during the 2015-16 NBA season. This jersey has been photo matched to three games, including two playoff contests. The first game took place on April 6th, 2016, at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The Pacers knocked off the Cavs 123-109 in this game, with Kyrie scoring a team-high 26 points on 11 of 18 shooting. The one-time Duke Blue Devil added six assists and three steals as the Cavaliers struggled to deal with the absence of LeBron James.
Irving also wore this jersey during Game 3 and the series-clinching Game 4 of the Cavaliers first round sweep of the Detroit Pistons in the playoffs at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Irving was the game’s leading scorer in each contest, dropping 26 in Game 3 and 31 in Game 4. In the Game 4 series finale, Kyrie hit a half court shot to beat the 3rd quarter buzzer that was crucial. In addition, he hit a decisive three-pointer to help ice the game for good with 42 seconds left in their 100-98 victory. Irving, in his penultimate season with the Cavs, led the team to the NBA Finals, where they overcame a 3-1 series deficit against the Golden State Warriors to claim the 2015-16 NBA title.
