Before being traded by the New York Yankees to the Texas Rangers in July of 2016, Carlos Beltran collected his 1,000th career extra base hit against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on June 7th during the Yankees 6-3 victory. Beltran became only the fourth switch-hitter in Major League history to achieve the 1,000 extra base hit plateau with his first inning home run. He joined Mickey Mantle, Eddie Murray and Chipper Jones as the only switch hitters with 400 home runs and 1,000 extra base hits.
The home white with navy blue pinstripe button-down jersey features the interlocking “NY” on the upper left chest in navy blue and Beltran’s number “36” on the back in navy blue. The Majestic Cool Base manufacturer’s tag, size 46, and a NYY barcode ID tag can both be found on the front left tail. The left sleeve has the commemorative “8” sewn on in navy blue in honor of Hall of Famer Yogi Berra. Jersey shows light wear, comes with MLB Authenticated hologram (JB 422559), and is also accompanied by an LOA from Steiner. Please note that the MLB hologram dates this jersey to the June 12th game against the Detroit Tigers.
