On September 26, 2016 the A’s were in Anaheim starting off a three-game series. With the game scoreless in the bottom of the 4th, Trout stepped in to face Oakland’s Sean Manaea. With no one on, the Angels star put his team ahead by blasting the ball over the left-center field wall. The home run was Trout’s 29th of the season and the 168th since breaking into the majors as a teenager in 2011.
Trout would go on to win his second MVP Award, leading the league in runs, on-base percentage and walks. This Old Hickory MT27* model bat has been photo matched to the one used by Trout to hit that home run. The bat shows good game use with several ball marks with stitch impressions. A coat of pine tar is on the center brand and the handle has been taped to enhance the grip. The best player in today’s game has signed the barrel in silver marker, adding “16 GU HR #29 vs OAK MVP.” If you desire an inscribed Mike Trout gamer attributed and matched to a specific home run, you can’t do any better than this. The bat comes with a LOA from Anderson Authentics for the game use and signature and a LOA from PSA/DNA for the game use, who have graded this bat a perfect GU 10.
