Seattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano, one of the premier two-baggers of the 21st century, wore this white home button down jersey during an August 8th, 2016, 3-0 home victory against the Detroit Tigers. Although Cano went hitless in this game, he repeatedly put the ball in play and contributed excellent defense at the second base position, including on a rare Miguel Cabrera GIDP.
Cano had an outstanding 2016, clubbing a career-high 39 home runs with 103 RBI and a .298 batting average. An All-Star in 2016, Cano once again proved his mettle as the best offensive second baseman in the American League.
This jersey is white, with “MARINERS” sewn across the chest in navy blue, silver, and teal tackle twill. “CANO” and “22” are sewn on the back of the jersey in navy, silver, and teal tackle twill. A teal and navy vinyl MLB logo is applied on the back outside collar. A circular Mariners logo patch is sewn on the left sleeve above a black Majestic logo. A Majestic size “48” tag has been applied to the front left tail of the jersey. This jersey shows outstanding use, including a large pine tar stain on the left shoulder where Cano rested his bat. This jersey comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (JC 109345), which dates the jersey to use during the August 8th contest.
