Infielder Eduardo Nuñez was traded to the Boston Red Sox on July 26th, 2017 and he immediately paid dividends as his .321 batting average, eight home runs and 27 RBI in the final 38 games of the season was enough to help Boston win the American League Eastern Division. Nuñez used this Marucci EN9 model bat during the 2017 season when he joined the Red Sox in late July based on the number “36” that is stamped on the knob and the bat’s manufacture date of “08/08/17” that is also stamped on the knob.
This bat displays outstanding game use and is un-cracked. There are numerous ball marks, blue ink transfers, white leather scuffs and cleat imprints present on the barrel. There is a heavy coating of pine tar on the upper handle/lower barrel. There is a mark on the handle that identifies the face of the grain, which is a mandatory marking per Major League Baseball for all maple bats since January 2009. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B17052) for the game use and has been graded a perfect GU 10.
