Betts, in the top of the third inning, came to bat against Wily Peralta, rapping a grounder to right field on an 0-2 count for a single. This baseball was also pitched to Dustin Pedroia in the next at-bat, with Pedroia hitting into a double play, and to Xander Bogaerts for two balls before the ball was taken out of play. Betts finished this game 4-4 with four RBI and two runs scored. Betts doubled twice and led off this game with a solo homer, falling a triple short of the cycle in this game, an 11-7 Brewers victory.
