Presented is a pair of 2017 MLB Postseason game used Under Armour cleats, signed and inscribed by Chicago Cubs catcher Willson Contreras.  Contreras has signed his name in black marker across the top toe of each shoe, and inscribed below his name, also in black marker, “40 17 Playoffs G/U”.  The white leather and gray mesh cleats with blue Under Armour logo show slight signs of wear, including dirt stains on the toes and on the white plastic sole with metal cleats.  Contreras made his MLB debut with the Cubs on June 19, 2016, hitting a home run in his first at-bat; the Cubs would go on to win the 2016 World Series.  The Cubs and Contreras returned to the post-season in October 2017, defeating the Washington Nationals in the NLDS but losing to the Dodgers in the NLCS.  On October 18, 2017, in Game Four of the NLCS, Contreras hit the longest postseason home run (491 feet) since Statcast started recording such data in 2015.  This item comes with a LOA from Anderson Authentics (2730, 2731).
