Houston Astros ace Gerrit Cole wore this orange Astros alternate jersey on April 13th, 2018, as the Astros defeated the Rangers 3-2 at Minute Maid Park. Cole made history in this game by becoming the first player in MLB’s annals to strike out 14 batters of 93 or fewer pitches, finishing with only three hits and two runs allowed in seven innings of work. Cole also set an Astros record with 36 strikeouts in his first three starts with the team and joined Nolan Ryan as the only Houston pitcher with 11 strikeouts or more in three straight starts.
This orange alternate button-down Houston jersey features Cole’s number “45” sewn on the chest and back in navy and white tackle twill. “ASTROS” is sewn across the chest in navy and white tackle twill, while “COLE” is sewn across the back shoulders below a MLB logo patch in the same fashion. An Astros logo and a Majestic logo are sewn on the left arm. A Majestic size “48” tag is located on the front left tail. The jersey comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (JD431490).
