Following in his Hall of Fame father’s footsteps Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is making his way up the Toronto Blue Jays farm system and is poised to make the big leagues in 2019. Considered the top prospect in the Blue Jays by Baseball America, Guerrero began the 2018 season with the AA New Hampshire Fisher Cats where he led the Eastern League with a .339 batting average and 30 RBI through the first month of the season. In late July, Guerrero, Jr. was promoted to AAA Buffalo Bison.
Guerrero used this Old Hickory JH3 model during the 2018 season. This bat displays outstanding game use with a crack on the handle that has been secured. There are many ball marks, stitch impressions, blue ink transfers and white leather scuff marks present on the barrel. The upper handle has a moderate coating of pine tar, while the lower handle has a blue, red and white Lizard Skins tape to enhance the grip. Guerrero has signed this bat in blue marker on the barrel. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B19190) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9. There is also a letter of provenance.
