After leading the Boston Red Sox to the 2018 World Series title, including striking out Manny Machado of the Los Angeles Dodgers to close out the Fall Classic, ace left-hander Chris Sale had a rocky start to the 2019 season. After going winless in his first six starts (0-5), Sale looked like vintage Chris Sale when he faced his former team the Chicago White Sox on May 3rd of 2019. Sale, while wearing this offered Boston Red Sox road jersey that has been photo matched by Resolution Photomatching, would strikeout 10 White Sox batters and limiting them to only 3 hits in 6 innings in Boston’s 6-1 victory and earning his first win of the season.

This gray button-down Majestic Flex Base jersey has “BOSTON” is sewn on the front in Tuscan font red and navy tackle twill. The Majestic size 42 tag is screen-printed on the front left tail and an additional Majestic bar code tag is affixed to the center right tail that reads “#41 SALE 2019 42 +2B +1S”. The back of the jersey has “SALE” and his number “41” sewn on in McAuliffe-style red and navy tackle twill. The left sleeve has the Red Sox “hanging socks” logo patch in red and the “MLB150” patch is sewn on the right sleeve. This jersey displays moderate game use and is a great jersey from Boston’s ace lefty. This jersey comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (JD292991), authenticating that Sale wore this jersey during the May 3rd, 2019 game at Chicago against the White Sox. Additionally, there is an LOA from Resolution Photomatching (426358), who have matched this jerseys to the May 3rd, 2019 game.
