The Patriots appeared in a record 11th Super Bowl when they took on the Los Angeles Rams at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on February 3, 2019. Super Bowl LIII was the lowest scoring Super Bowl in history as both teams staged a defensive battle that saw the score knotted at 3-3 at the end of the third quarter. Wide receiver Julian Edelman, who caught 10 passes for 141 yards, was named the MVP.
