Al Simmons was an outfielder in the Major Leagues for 20 seasons, the best of which he spent with the Philadelphia Athletics. Simmons was one of the best hitters in the Major Leagues, finishing his career with an incredible .334 batting average to go along with over 300 home runs. In 1953, Simmons was elected to the Hall of Fame.
The picture offered here shows Simmons, in his Philadelphia Athletics uniform, looking down and away from the camera. He signed the photograph in blue pen, inscribing “Best Wishes” above his signature. This photograph measures 4.75 x 3.5 inches and comes inside an 8 x 9 inch frame.
