Presented here is a baseball signed by the first three members of the 40 home run/40 stolen base club. Jose Canseco became the first player in baseball history to achieve the 40/40 statline (although in his own words he believed “five or six players must have done it”), with Barry Bonds, Alex Rodriguez, and Alfonso Soriano later joining the club. Rodriguez has signed the sweet spot of this Official Allan H. Selig Major League baseball in blue pen, inscribing “46/42” next to his signature. Canseco signed the panel to the south of the sweet spot in black pen, inscribing “42/40” next to his signature. Bonds signed the panel to the north of the sweet spot in black pen, also inscribing “42/40” beneath his signature. This item comes with a COA from JSA (S85832).
