Imagine you are a young man named Loren Kelly, and you play baseball for a local establishment, be it a school or company squad. You are working in a store during your off hours from baseball practice, when a really swell brand new car with pristine white wall tires pulls up, its owner looking for a snack, or possibly a beer….or both. Imagine if that owner was none other than the immortal Babe Ruth, dressed in his brand new leisure suit. He walks in the small shop, and you and the Babe begin talking about baseball and the Babe finds out from another local customer you play ball, and are pretty good at it. “Well,” the Babe asks, “how good are ya’?” The local customer whips out some clippings showing Ruth of your exploits. “Ok, I see kid that yer pretty good.” Then after a bit of fun talk, everybody laughing of course, cause you know “it’s Babe Ruth”, the Bambino proceeds to signed a piece of stationery “To Loren Kelly Sincerely Babe Ruth Hoping you will be the greatest Ball player of all times. Sincerely Babe Ruth.” Babe Ruth just wished you all the success in the world, and signed his name not once, but twice! Then just before he gets in his roadster to head back to the city, he poses with you for a picture. This 5 x 5 inch piece of stationery (visible area) is flanked by an actual photo of the Babe with who we assume is Loren Kelly and a spiritual image of Ruth rooting on a small child. This magnificent double-signed Ruth item is professionally matted and framed to a dimension of approximately 12 x 19.5 inches. Full LOA from PSA/DNA, cert number B17735.
