The former Commander-In-Chief, who served the highest office in the land from 2009 to 2017, writes about his earliest political aspirations all the way to his historic election on November 4, 2008, becoming the first African American elected President. The book was published in November of 2020 and Obama also delves into his time as president sharing stories from the Oval Office, the White House Situation Room and the trials and tribulations of securing passage of the landmark Affordable Care Act. Obama has signed his name in bold black fiber-tipped marker on the inside fly page. The book is housed in a matching dark gray solid binder with “A PROMISED LAND” and “BARACK OBAMA” in silver print, along with a photo of Obama.
