Presented is a Bob Stanley autograph on a 1986 World Series commemorative Louisville Slugger baseball bat. The former Boston Red Sox pitcher has signed his name in silver marker at the end of the black wood bat, over the inscription, engraved in silver “1986-World Series Bob Stanley Boston Red Sox”.
With the Red Sox one strike away from winning the 1986 World Series, Stanley threw a wild pitch that allowed the New York Mets to score the tying run in Game 6. This turned the tables on the Red Sox, as the Mets eventually won the 1986 World Series in Game 7. This bat comes with a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (C11930) and a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B14568).
