Led by AL MVP Cal Ripken, Jr., the Baltimore Orioles beat the Philadelphia Phillies in the 1983 World Series. 25 years late, the Orioles honored their 1983 team with a ceremony on the field before the July 23, 2008 regular season game. This is the exact jersey Ripken wore during that ceremony. The home white button down jersey has ORIOLES” scripted across the front with his number “8” below, with his name “RIPKEN” across the verso with number “8” below. The reverse number has a bold, black Sharpie “Cal Ripken, Jr.“ signature with the lower portion affixed with an MLB affixed hologram (cert #BB958472). There is ample photo matched evidence of Ripken wearing this jersey during the ceremony with the signature and hologram already on the back! LOA from the Baltimore Orioles.
