Charles Comiskey will always be remembered as the owner who allegedly inspired the White Sox to throw the 1919 World Series. Whether this is true or not is a matter of opinion, but Comiskey’s impact on the team from Chicago is without question. As owner of the White Sox for 30 years, Comiskey saw five American League Pennants, two World Series titles, and built the stadium that would bear his name. Offered is a cut signature of Charles Comiskey that is signed “Chas a Comiskey” in black ink with a signature of John Louis Comiskey, Charles’ son, who also signed in black, below. John Comiskey owned the White Sox following Charles’ death in 1931 until his death in 1939. These rare signatures have been encapsulated by PSA/DNA (83916944) in a 4 ½ x 7 ½ inch holder and graded AUTHENTIC.
