The Hall of Fame center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was presented with this “I” Award by the Chris Webber Foundation. Abdul-Jabbar, a 20-year NBA veteran, was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1995 after scoring more points than any other player in NBA history. Webber, a star at the University of Michigan, played 15 seasons in the NBA and averaged 20.7 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. This award measures 10.5 inches tall. Displayed on the transparent trophy is “The Chris Webber Foundation is honored to recognize Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as its Inaugural Recipient of the ‘I’ Award for his Exemplary Characteristics of: Inspiration Integrity Individuality Idealism Influence”.
