     New York Yankees Hall of Fame shortstop Phil Rizzuto wore this cap sometime during the 1946 to 1948 seasons. Rizzuto, who debuted in 1941, spent the ’43, ’44, and ’45 seasons serving his country in the United States Navy. A five-time All-Star, Rizzuto won the 1950 American League MVP Award, hitting for a career high .324 batting average with seven home runs and 66 RBI. Rizzuto was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame by the Veterans Committee in 1994. This navy cap features the Yankees iconic interlocking “NY” logo. “P. Rizzuto” and size “7 1/8” are stitched on the inside band of the cap next to a “SPALDING” tag. This hat comes with a full LOA from MEARS.
