Offered here is a St. Louis Cardinals’ cap worn by Hall of Famer Stan Musial during his penultimate season in the Majors - circa 1962. Musial retired in 1963, but not before recording 3,630 hits, 475 home runs and a .331 batting average. This all navy Rawlings size 7 ¼ cap features the interlocking “StL” in raised embroidering in red and white across the front. Musial’s number “6” is handwritten in black marker on the green underside brim there is moderate wear shown on the brown leather sweat band, along with a little fabric loss on the back of the hat. This late-career gamer comes with a LOA from MEARS for the game use.
