This Wilson baseball has been signed by 10 members of the circa 1971-72 Pittsburgh Pirates, as well as the Hall of Fame catcher Carlton Fisk. The sweet spot is un-signed, however the signatures of the Hall of Famer Roberto Clemente and Charlie Sands are located on the panel just north of the sweet spot. Carlton Fisk and Vic Davalillo have signed the panel east of the sweet spot, while the west panel has been signed by Bob Robertson, Dock Ellis, and Gene Alley. The panel south of the sweet spot has been signed by Jackie Hernandez, Manny Sanguillen, Milt May, and a signature deemed “unknown” by JSA, however it appears to belong to Doug Perry, a then-19-year-old catcher and first baseman who played in seven games with the Gulf Coast League Pirates in 1972. The signatures on this ball have been written in blue pen, and this item comes with LOAs from both JSA (X80174) and PSA/DNA (T07954).
