Used during the 2001-2007 period, this bat saw Ken Griffey, Jr. put the last details on his Hall of Fame career. 2004 saw Junior hitting his 500th home run and a tally of the seven summers this bat dates to shows he added 155 homers to his eventual total of 630. Junior’s Louisville Slugger C271 model bat is custom stamped with “SWINGMAN” under his facsimile signature on the barrel. The bat shows outstanding use with a handle crack. Checking from repeated ball contact is found on the back barrel and many ball marks with stitch impressions abound. The impression of a weighted batting donut is present as are blue ink transfers and white leather ball scuffs. Red bat rack paint streaks are visible along with cleat impressions. The handle has been taped in a spiral pattern to enhance the grip. A real complete game used Junior club with the kind of wear you’d expect from one of the most naturally talented ballplayers of the modern era. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B06914) for the game use.
