2019 NBA Draft first overall pick Zion Williamson wore this Spartanburg Day School Griffins basketball team pullover during his now-legendary high school basketball career. Williamson exploded as a prospect late in the recruiting cycle, dunking on any high schooler foolish enough to get between the 6’7”, 285-pound Williamson and the hoop. Williamson averaged 36.4 points and 11.4 rebounds per game, earning a spot in the 2018 McDonald’s All-America Game and committing to play basketball at Duke University. After a flash-bang college season, Williamson was selected first overall by the New Orleans Pelicans in the 2019 NBA Draft.
This offered Spartanburg pullover is red with long sleeves and was worn by Williamson between 2016-2018. Printed on the chest in silver is “SDS BASKETBALL”. Printed on the back in silver borders is “12”. The shirt was manufactured by Augusta Sportswear and is a size L and is part of their Moisture Management product line. This pullover is a historic piece of memorabilia from the earliest parts of Zion Williamson’s limitless career. This comes with a LOA from MEARS (316955) for the game use.
