The upstart Miracle Mets of '69 shocked the baseball world by winning the World Series over the Baltimore Orioles in five games. Jerry Koosman won two games. Donn Clendenon was Series MVP, hitting 3 homers and at a .347 clip. This uncut postcard sheet captures 31 Mets players and coaches in color illustration. All players have signed the sheet except coaches Gil Hodges and Rube Walker and player Cal Koonce. Preserved in their youth, Mets that have signed include Hall of Famers Tom Seaver, Nolan Ryan, and Yogi Berra. Notable other signatures include players Tommie Agee, Donn Clendenon, Tug McGraw, Jerry Koosman, Bud Harrelson, Jerry Grote, Ed Kranepool, Wayne Garrett, Duffy Dyer, Gary Gentry, Ron Swoboda and coaches Joe Pignatano and Ed Yost. All signatures have been signed in vivid, bold blue Sharpie or ink (all grade 10). A LOA from James Spence Authenticators (#B45819) accompanies this item. The 24" x 29" poster is housed in a 30" x 35" wooden black frame. It was released in 1994 as part of the 25th Anniversary of the Mets winning the World Series.
