Forward Dennis Rodman twice earned NBA Defensive Player of the Year awards during his 14-year career spent with five teams. This jersey is from his initial season (1993 – 94) with San Antonio. The front of this Champion Apparel mesh white-with-black-taupe-and grey-trim jersey has the tackle-twill “Spurs” stitched across the chest. Below is Rodman’s number “10.” On the reverse, “Rodman” is stitched in tackle-twill black across the shoulders above the gray-trimmed black “10.” The left hip area sports two woven tags, each with two sections: the left tag contains the NBA logo underscored with Champion, and a Year/Size tag, “Designed & Tailored/1993 – 1994/ Exclusively For San Antonio Spurs/Body Length +2.” The white right tag contains the Champion insignia and size 44, washing instructions embroidered in blue. Inside the left side seam are two, white “body Fabric” tags (100% Polyester), both faded. The NBA logo adorns the left shoulder strap. Evidence of heavy game use can be found with very sweat discolorations below the front collar and between he “P” and “U” of Spurs. Several brown stains speckle below the “10” on the front. The back has a large cream stain on the lower right hip. The bottom back edge is stained with light and brown from the center to the right. A LOA from game-worn jersey expert, Dave Miedema, accompanies this item.
